Corportate Sponsorship

Your sponsorship supports GALT’s land protection efforts and our conservation-focused events.

Why Partner with GALT?

The Georgia-Alabama Land Trust (GALT) protects more than half a million acres of vital habitat, forests, farms, wetlands, and other irreplaceable landscapes that make the Southeast such a special place.

GALT Corporate Sponsors are essential partners in making our work possible. Your support directly advances our land conservation efforts, benefiting local communities, protecting wildlife, and preserving natural resources for generations to come. In return, your business is recognized as a valued leader in conservation.

Beyond our land protection work, GALT hosts a variety of events and programs that connect people to the land and demonstrate the importance of protecting it. We also provide continuing education courses for professionals, offering timely updates on conservation easements, legislation, tax incentives, and other key topics. See a list of 2025 events below.

As a sponsor, your organization will be recognized at GALT events, in advertising for events, and in The Conservationsist, GALT’s annual magazine.

2025 Events

  • In partnership with the University of Georgia’s Warnell School of Forestry, this course will be held in Guyton, Georgia. It is designed to cover a wide range of topics from conservation easement basics to timber markets. There will also be updates on issues related to conservation easements in areas such as forestry, accounting/tax, appraisals, and case law. (Professional Continuing Education credits: 8 hours)

  • In 2023, GALT started a webinar series, providing an online platform for people across our region to tune in to informative discussions led by leaders in conservation and wildlife management. We have had two successful sessions so far, one on wild turkey and the other on white-tailed deer. Both seminars can be found at any time on our YouTube channel. We are looking forward to continuing this series on additional topics.

  • Our annual Wing Night event, held at GALT’s Weaver Cave Preserve in Anniston, AL, is all about our resident bats! The evening begins with a speaker discussing the natural history of these fascinating creatures and their unique relationship with Weaver Cave. As the sun sets, participants will be treated to the main event: the incredible sight of thousands of bats emerging from the cave for their nightly foray!

  • This event invites community members to reconnect with the natural world through the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, or “Forest Bathing.” Led by a trained guide, this practice encourages participants to immerse themselves in the surrounding forest in order to discover the beauty, joy, and healing that nature provides.

  • In partnership with the Alabama/Mississippi Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, this half-day course is designed for appraisers, attorneys, CPAs, realtors, and other professionals working with conservation easements. Course topics address current issues associated with appraising conservation easements. Subject matter experts from the various facets of the conservation easement realm will provide insight into their role in the process. (Professional Continuing Education credits: 5 hours including 1 hour for CLE Ethics and Professionalism)

  • This annual event offers a guided tour through the Weaver Cave Complex! Tours include information on the biology and ecology of the cave and the creatures that call it home, along with leave no-trace principles. There are two exploration opportunities available including the Simple Tour, which is around 1 hour in length and our Complex Tour, which is around 4 hours.

  • Yoga at WCP allows community members to enjoy the quiet, peaceful surroundings at Weaver Cave Preserve during a beginner-friendly yoga class lead by local teacher.

  • This walk will follow the trails at Weaver Cave Preserve and be led by an experienced botanist familiar with the native flora of the area.

Let’s work together.
