Cait received her dual master’s degrees in Environmental Management and Forestry from Duke University in 2022, after earning a B.S. in Environmental Science and minor in Sustainability Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Her master’s thesis involved statistically and geospatially analyzing camera trap data from habitat corridors in South America. She has focused her career on land protection, ecology, wildfire, and GIS through her work with various organizations such as The Nature Conservancy, US Forest Service, and smaller land protection groups which now includes GALT. Cait looks for any chance to get outside, either for work or pleasure. She spent a significant amount of time during and after grad school traveling the US and world, and her other hobbies include backpacking, hiking, camping, kayaking, playing trombone, baking, and taking care of her exotic pets and houseplants.
