The Georgia-Alabama Land Trust, Inc. (GALT) welcomes healthy and productive discussion on our social media accounts about land conservation, to include related issues of habitat preservation, land management, as well as ecosystems and their associated flora and fauna
These guidelines seek to provide additional information on how you can engage with GALT on social media and what you can expect from us. Those who interact on GALT’s social media must treat each other with courtesy and respect at all times.

GALT reserves the absolute right to delete any comments or block any users which GALT determines to be inconsistent with this policy.
Be Kind and Courteous
Social media users must treat each other with respect. Disagreement and healthy debates may occur and, when carried out in a respectful manner, can even be productive. However, it is not permitted: to make personal attacks on other commenters; to post comments containing inappropriate language/cursing; or to bully or harass other others.
Its About the Land!
GALT welcomes feedback and encourages active participation on our social media. However, comments must be relevant to the land conservation topic that GALT shared. In turn, degrading comments about race, religion, culture, gender and/or sex are not permitted.
No Promotions or Spam
Self-promotion, spam, posts for political gain, and irrelevant links are not permitted.
Respect Privacy
Everything posted to GALT’s social media is public. Thus, prior to posting any picture of an identifiable person or likeness, ensure you have the requisite permission/authority. Also, do not post any private or sensitive information. You are responsible to ensure you have the right to post any protected intellectual property, including copyrights, trademarks, and/or service marks.
