Katie grew up in Cairo, GA, and graduated from the UGA Warnell School of Forestry with a B.S.F.R. in Fisheries and Wildlife Management. Before working with GALT, she worked as an artist at Bee Natural, a local business in Athens, GA, and as a park assistant/zoo keeper at Bear Hollow Zoo. She has volunteered with various organizations including the Georgia DNR and National Park Service by participating in routine surveys and conducting invasive species removal. She now resides in Atlanta, GA where she enjoys hiking, camping, spending time with her two cats, live music, reading, and a good front porch.
